- The conveying chamber (cylinder) is sealed by the oil chambers (housing cover and gear case) by piston ring - labyrinth sealings, the driving shaft by a radial seal. In case the oil level is too high, oil can penetrate into the conveying chamber in an uncontrolled way.
- During compression, heat is created which is partly dissipated to the ambient air via the external surfaces of blower and conveying pipes. External surfaces and conveying pipes may reach temperatures which can cause burns to unprotected skin.
